Walmart shopper arrested after being confronted because her baby was shivering and wearing only diapers in frigid temperatures

A Mississippi mother who carried her shivering toddler dressed only in diapers at Walmart in sub-freezing temperatures was arrested, after an employee claimed he was fired for posting the viral clip on social media.

Kambria Gabrielle Darby, 26, was charged with child neglect after police received a call to the store around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 and found the mother in the parking lot, according to WJTV.

Darby’s confrontation and rant inside the store went viral after a Walmart employee posted the video under the Facebook username Fee Nicole.

The employee, whose real name is Felicia Darling, began recording the video after watching the mother, dressed appropriately for the 20-degree temperature outside, put the diaper-clad child into a cold shopping cart, according to WLBT.

Several shoppers at the Byram, Mississippi, location confronted Darby as she walked through the store, stopping in one of the freezer aisles and throwing a bag of frozen vegetables at the shaking child, video captured.

“He is throwing cold food at this child. What’s wrong with you?” the man asked, according to the images.

“Keep your voice down, who are you?” the caretaker snapped at the worried shopper.

“You’re crazy,” one man called the mother before she turned around and went on a vulgar tirade, pausing only to briefly twerk for the camera.

Upon speaking with Darby outside, authorities discovered that shoppers inside the store dressed the boy, but he was still frozen and shivering from the cold.

In another video posted by Darling, a shopper dresses the child in clothes from the store while the mother stands nearby looking at her phone.

She was released on bail conditions ordered by Hinds County Juvenile Court, according to WLBT.

Emergency crews were called to check on the child before Child Protective Services arrived.

The child was later released to an approved family member.

After being released from prison, Darby took to social media and defended her actions and the way she raised her children.

“I have photographs of every meal I have prepared for them as proof of their aptitude as a mother. This deformation (sic) of character hurts my heart,” she wrote in a 656-word Facebook post, seen by the Daily Mail.

Darby compared the treatment he received inside the Walmart last week to the way Jesus was treated.

“They did the same thing to Jesus, he also felt sick to his stomach; “He didn’t want to go through that.”
