As of July 28, 2023, Odia actress Sheetal Patra has made serious allegations against filmmaker Dayanidhi Dahima. In a complaint filed with the Laxmisagar police in the capital city, she accused Dayanidhi Dahima, who is also the owner of Dayanidhi Entertainment, of sexual and mental harassment. In addition to the blackmail, the actress further alleged that Dayanidhi demanded the return of all remunerations she received for professional work in which he was involved. These demands appear to have been accompanied by threats to release the photographs publicly if she did not comply. The situation escalated further when Sheetal Patra accused Dayanidhi Dahima of physically assaulting her. She claimed that he groped and assaulted her at her college in front of other students and even tore her uniform, causing her further distress and humiliation. To tarnish her image and reputation, Dayanidhi Dahima allegedly resorted to defamatory posts on various social media platforms, targeting not only Sheetal Patra but also her family members. The actress asserted that the filmmaker used derogatory language and false information to humiliate her and her loved ones. In light of these serious allegations, the Laxmisagar police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
