Judith Roberts passed away
On December 10, 2023, Mrs. Judith Lillian Roberts, affectionately referred to as “Judy”, of Wellington, passed away. She was 82 years old. In addition to being the devoted mother and mother-in-law of Clayton and Belinda, Kim and Paul, Grant and Joy, and Tanya and Craig, Judy was the beloved wife of Ted Roberts. She left a lasting impact not only on her immediate family but also in the hearts of her grandchildren, Bradley, Tara, Aaron, Tatum, Ryan, Lachlan, Louise and Charlotte. She was a Great Nan to Nyx and Loki. Mrs. Roberts was a loving and caring woman whose influence on her family and community was immense.
Her memory will be forever engraved in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known her. Mrs Roberts’ funeral ceremony will take place on Thursday 21 December 2023 at 11:00am at St John the Baptist Anglican Church in Wellington. Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Interment at Wellington Lawn Cemetery will take place following the service. As we come together to honor the life of Mrs. Judith Lillian Roberts and take solace in the priceless memories she leaves behind, let us celebrate this incredible woman.
Judy was born and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas, where she also completed her education at Coffeyville High School. She went to college after high school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Judy spent a lot of time as a teacher in Baxter Springs. She married Mark Kennedy Roberts on September 7, 1974 and they settled in Pryor. Her favorite church is Heritage Southern Baptist Church. Judy liked sudoku, crossword puzzles and crochet. She loved to sing and she was also incredibly clever. She also loved gathering angels. Judy was a kind and compassionate woman. She will be truly missed by all who loved her because she was an incredible mother and wife.
