Wendi Campbell passed away
On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the public was informed that Wendi Campbell, Executive Director of the Waterloo Food Bank, appeared to have passed away. According to her family, she left a “shocking legacy.” The obituary said Wendy’s goal of improving our city was at the center of everything she accomplished. “She was always learning, growing and finding ways to improve herself and others,” the statement continued. The funeral home will have visitation on January 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The family has titled the celebration of life “The Party,” and it will be March 10 at 1 pm at Federation Hall at the University of Waterloo. They also mentioned that instead of dressing all in black, as Campbell had ordered, guests should wear blazers, jeans, and impressive shoes. His family requested that donations be made to the Kitchener Rangers Community Fund, Friendship House and St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation, and the Waterloo Region Food Bank in his honor.
