What was YNW Melly arrested for?

YNW Melly’s arrest followed a five-month investigation. The night his two friends were killed, YNW Bortlen reportedly dropped William and Thomas off at Memorial Hospital located in Miramar, Fa at around 4:25 am. They were with multiple gunshot wounds at the time. YNW Bortlen claimed they were shot in a drive-by shooting and the assailants were unknown. After investigating the case for five months, the police assumed that YNW Melly was the suspected shooter and allegedly shot two of his friends. Rapper Bortlen was sent to Houston and extradited to Florida on charges of murder and accessory to murder. Miramar police stated at the time: “Jamell Demons, also known as YNW Melly and Cortlen Henry, were arrested and charged with two counts of first degree murder. The victims, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr., were murdered on 10/26/2018.
