Reportedly, the former executive chef of the White House disappeared in June 2015. He was in the highlands of New Mexico when reported missing. Reportedly, he was hiking there but he was alone. After a search for two weeks, the search and rescue team discovered the human remains in a pond. The remains were later identified as Walter Scheib. Later an autopsy report claimed that Scheib passed away from drowning around June 13. The pond in which was found had cold water, though it is not easy to say how long his body had been there.
