How to remove WhatsApp channels
- The first thing will be to install WhatsApp on another mobile device.
- After giving the corresponding permissions, simply press the three dots in the upper corner when adding a number.
- There the option to “Add new device” will be displayed.
- Then a giant QR code will appear.
- With your main smartphone you will only have to scan that code.
- After that you will return to the previous version of WhatsApp, with the bottom bar now at the top.
- There won’t even be any tab called “News”.
- On the contrary, you will now see the “States”.
- When you enter that tab, you will not see any traces of the “Channels” at all.
- With this you will have removed the WhatsApp Channels. You can use it as your main phone and it does not depend on another phone where you can even delete WhatsApp.
This feature is not yet available on all devices.
According to specialists, by doing this, you would have the old version of WhatsApp again, without the channels that you would be watching right now after the last update.
However, WhatsApp is expected to soon incorporate an easier way to delete channels from the same application.
