“I passed the Google interview, but I didn’t pass the Bengaluru tenant interview. Here is my brief process to clear the tenant interviews,” Ripu Daman Bhadoria, engineering manager at Google, posted on LinkedIn.
He then spoke about how despite passing an interview at Google, he was rejected for a tenant interview in Bengaluru. “When I returned to Bengaluru from Seattle last year (2022), I had a really hard time finding a good apartment to rent due to the surge in demand following the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Many apartment owners began interviewing potential tenants due to high demand. I was surprised when I completely failed my first tenant interview. I had an epiphany at that moment: I realized that some interviews are harder to pass than Google searches. he continued.
He even requested information from the owner about their “interview performance” and any “red flags” they observed.
He went on to say, “I never imagined that working at Google could be so disruptive. Bhadoria continued in the following paragraphs, stating that he had passed the next tenant interview in Bengaluru.
