White House condemns protesters with red paint left on doors, but goes online to label torn down signs ‘incorrect’

WASHINGTON – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday verbally condemned pro-Palestinian protesters for painting the doors of the Executive Mansion red, but could only dedicate a Twitter rebuke to the psychopaths caught on camera destroying posters showing people kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.

“For the last month, the families of the hostages have lived in agony,” Jean-Pierre tweeted shortly after deflecting multiple questions from the meeting room podium. “Taking down photographs of his loved ones, who are being held hostage by Hamas, is wrong and painful.”

Moments earlier, Jean-Pierre was quick to proclaim that President Biden “obviously” disapproved of pro-ceasefire protesters painting the White House doors red on Saturday as thousands chanted “Genocide Joe!” and “Fuck Joe Biden!” in protest of his support for the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip following Hamas’ October 7 attack on the Jewish state.

The removal of the “missing” signs has been captured in many widely circulated videos filmed in New York City and elsewhere in the month following the killing of at least 1,400 people by Hamas and the kidnapping of more than 200 more of southern Israel.

Some of the vandals have said on camera that they are destroying the images because they oppose Israel.

“Is it the White House’s view that these actions should be condemned… or that this is a form of peaceful protest?” NBC journalist Peter Alexander asked Jean-Pierre at the briefing.

“I’ve seen, sort of, the reports here and there. I think it was from last week, right? At first, Jean-Pierre deviated.

“There have been like 30 million videos,” Alexander responded, pressing: “Is this a peaceful protest, to take that down or shouldn’t you do it?

Jean-Pierre responded, “I’m just not going to go into detail on that particular issue,” before going on to express concern about “violent protests and threats” as a concern of the administration.

“I would appreciate it if you would answer the question just to see if the White House has a position on this, just to move forward because it has created a lot of divisions in this country,” Alexander concluded.

“I’m happy to do it,” the press secretary said, before tweeting her clarification moments later.

Biden was at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Saturday when pro-Palestinian protesters flooded Pennsylvania Avenue, chanting “Joe the genocide has to go!” and “Show your face!” – even at one point pushing open the doors of the White House.

In addition to red handprints on the masonry of the White House’s northwest door, the large protest left pro-Palestinian graffiti on nearby statues and hundreds of posters and stickers plastered on the White House fence.
