Dekalb paramedic arrested
The defendant is identified as Bruce Hines, who is a paramedic in Dekalb County. According to reports, the defendant Bruce Hines has been placed on administrative leave (unpaid) and a decision on his work will be made after the outcome of the investigation. Who is the victim? The victim is reportedly a 51-year-old woman. Her name cannot be mentioned as it is about her reputation, reportedly she was sleeping in her car which was parked on the side of the road when Bruce Hines noticed her sleeping at midnight. Additionally, it was also reported that Bruce Hines was off-duty when he allegedly raped the woman who fell asleep in his car. The incident took place in the 4400 block of Glenwood Road. The victim also revealed that the incident occurred between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on March 5, 2023. According to police, the defendant admitted to his crime and said that his victim was drunk after leaving a nightclub. Police have yet to clarify whether or not paramedic Bruce Hines was also at the same nightclub that night. A spokesperson for the police department said officers have gathered enough evidence to charge him with numerous felony charges. Bruce Hines is currently free on bail.
