Talking about the victim, he was 20 years old and a second year student at MCM DAV College located at Sector 36 in Chandigarh. She was a BA student. Reports have suggested that the sophomore BA student has passed away after falling from the second floor of the Arts Block on campus. More about the victim, she was a resident of Customs Colony, Sec 37, Chandigarh, where she lived with her family. The fatal incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After carrying out the preliminary investigation, the police described that the 20-year-old student went to the bathroom on the second floor of the arts block and was later seen falling from there. However, the university staff immediately took the student to the PGIMER medical facility, but unfortunately the student could not be resuscitated, she could not bear the pressure of fatal injuries and passed away. Police further added that the student died two hours before her Punjabi exam scheduled for 2pm. An investigation is underway, no foul play has been found yet. Nisha Bhargava, Principal of MCM DAV College, said: “The staff informed me around 12:30 pm When I arrived at the location, the student was in a wheelchair. He was getting a nosebleed and our internal doctors were giving him first aid. I called the police and we rushed her to PGIMER in a private vehicle. The doctors did their best, but unfortunately, she did not survive.” She further added, “According to some students, she fell down the stairs. The door leading to the terrace was closed.
