Lewis Capaldi’s mother is currently in the news after sharing the horrifying family tragedy. She has collapsed in a sea of tears and shares what happened. She shares her story in the new documentary titled “Lewis Capaldi: How I Feel Now.” The clip of this part was posted online and instantly went viral and got people talking about it. Speaking as part of her new documentary, mother Carol revealed that her son had been home when her sister sadly died. Lewis, 26, talks about his constant struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as being a hypochondriac.
Why did Lewis Capaldi’s sister commit suicide?
Hypochondriasis is a disease that causes a person to have or feel extreme anxiety about their health, including worry that they are or may become seriously ill. The singer stated in his documentary that “I have always been a hypochondriac. I’ve been haunting if something is wrong with me and sometimes I feel like I’m dying. After having such constant thoughts, I decided to take medical advice and then I went to the therapist and she said, “Don’t you think it has something to do with the fact that your aunt and grandmother passed away when they were about 3 or 4, inside one year.”
Later, the documentary footage shows the singer as a young child playing with his family members, his father and mother Mark revealed the tragic and sad events. Mark began: “Pat was Carol’s sister. She took her own life. I was there, and I saw a lot of stuff and stuff. We were out of the apartment at night, my father came up and found her dead.” At this moment, the singer’s mother bursts into tears and says that “you feel so guilty that you couldn’t stop him.”
He further added: “This tragedy has left an impact on everyone and we need to get to the point where we can think: ‘Well, you can’t stop somebody. He can try to help them, give them all the support and help he can, unless they want to help themselves. I’m still guilty, but I know I can’t change it.” At that point, she completely broke down and walked away from the camera, and then her husband went to comfort her.” Apart from that, the 26-year-old singer revealed that he wrote his popular song titled “Before You Go” about his aunt. He said that he also struggled to keep her emotions inside of her.
