Loren Mercadal reacted this Monday on TSi’s La Tarde News about her resemblance to the Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023.
The presenter of Las Mañanas del 5 thanked her followers for their messages, since many on social networks alluded to the fact that she had a certain resemblance to Palacios.
“I am eternally grateful to all the people who have tagged me and have sent me many messages that I am still responding to. It is an honor for me to be compared or to be told: ‘Loren, you have a resemblance to Miss Nicaragua with the new one, well Obviously Miss Universe 2023,” he noted.
Loren emphasized that he had the opportunity to meet her and share with her on a trip to Nicaragua that he took with a brand he works with, indicating that he admired her beauty.
“I saw her and said, wow, how beautiful her poise and elegance are, it has made us celebrate all Central Americans,” he said.
Loren Mercadal is not interested in participating in Miss Universe
“Beauty pageants don’t attract my attention, so thank you all, but that position is going to go to another candidate,” emphasized the native of Olancho.
The 30-year-old Honduran indicated that many girls from a very young age have the dream of participating in beauty pageants, but, in her case, she has “other interests.”

Despite this, she confesses that she likes to watch each edition of Miss Universe and admires all those who dare to be in the competition.
“I admire all those women who stand on that stage, a competition that I imagine is not easy from the physical, emotional and psychological side, there is so much pressure and responsibility to represent a country but I am definitely a spectator,” she said.
Break stereotypes
Mercadal pointed out that he currently admires the inclusion in pageants, which leave aside “perfect sizes.”
“I love above all that beauty pageants are now breaking stereotypes and all women now have the opportunity or have the opportunity to participate, whether they are mothers, married or not as perfect in size as was believed many years ago.” .and now he is given the opportunity,” he said.
The 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant, held at the José Adolfo Pineda National Gymnasium, San Salvador, El Salvador, left Miss Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, as the winner.
