‘With the boss’: Honduran dances punta with the grandfather she cares for in Spain

A young Honduran woman who left behind her dreams of being a university student to seek better life opportunities in Spain conquers TikTok by dancing alongside her boss.

Noemy Blandin Hernández moved to San Sebastián, Vizcaya, Basque Country, Spain in 2020, where she works taking care of an 83-year-old grandfather.

From that year on he began to record videos for the Chinese video platform, showing the beauty of the tourist city and making the famous ‘trends‘.

But it was not until April 2022 that he showed the relationship he has with his boss, as if it were a grandfather and his granddaughter, dancing and singing together.

Even last September 15, on the anniversary of the 202nd independence of Honduras, the young woman from San Lorenzo, Valle, taught her grandfather how to dance the punta.

The clip already exceeds 18 thousand views and has comments such as: “this grandpa is already Honduran at heart”; “Grandpa is so beautiful, mine also likes to dance” and “grandparents like to dance, they feel young.”
