The lady wrote a long note on Reddit about how she had to leave her job to get rid of the “toxicity.” The woman even wondered whether she “overreacted” in her message.

It read, “I started work for a company on Monday. Wednesday, the boss calls me in to chew me out for reasons I will mention below, and it led to me quitting. I would appreciate some insight as to whether I was justified in doing so, or if I’m overreacting.”

When asked about the cause of her outburst, the woman stated that her employer had questioned why she wasn’t performing her work, which was piling up. In response to the accusation, she stated that her supervisor never assigned her any work and that it was her colleague and mentor who assigned her the tasks, which she was performing.

The woman went on to say that he questioned why she didn’t remain back to finish the work assigned to her and why she was so slow. According to the post, the woman mentioned that she was still studying and that her colleague/mentor suggested she go home at 6 pm.

The woman went on to say that her manager accused her of vanishing for long periods of time when taking toilet breaks.

The woman expressed enormous satisfaction at leaving what she thought to be a “toxic place” after quitting her work. She does, however, know how horrible it appears to be to quit so quickly.

“Wow, I didn’t expect this to blow up like this.Thank you for your responses, everyone. I’m afraid I won’t be able to read them all, but I appreciate you taking the time to read this lengthy essay and giving your comments!”

“I don’t live or work in the United States, and I am not a US citizen,” she clarified. “The company is small, with a total of six employees, including myself and him. I think I’m 5 now. There is no upper management or human resources. He is the sole authority.”
