As reported by TOI, this loyal visitor, who had a meager Rs 22 in his bank account, made a surprising gesture by presenting an undated check with a donation of a whopping Rs 100 million.
The temple authorities were baffled on August 23 during their routine Hundi collection when they came across this surprising check. The surprisingly generous donation prompted officials to quickly contact the Kotak Bank branch in MVP Colony to authenticate this unexpected and immensely substantial contribution.

Giving information about the incident, Simhachalam Temple Deputy Executive Officer (OAS) Ramana Murthy revealed, “We noticed that there was no date on the check and some corrections. We inquired and learned that the devotee had an account at the Kotak Mahindra Bank branch in MVP Colony.
After which they discovered, “He had only ₹22 in his account. We do not know the psychological state of mind of the devotee nor the concept of him. We do not know the devotee.”
