On Tuesday, September 12, the independent journalist presented two alleged alien bodies in boxes with windows and stated under oath that these bodies “were found buried in diatomite mines” in Peru.

However, the entire caper unfolded during a historic public hearing session focused on unidentified anomalous phenomena (also known as UFOs) in the Green Room of the Chamber of Deputies of the Mexican Congress.

The hype around the session reached its peak when a Maussan produced the centuries-old Nazca mummies in Peru. He claimed that the skeletons with three fingers on each hand and a stereotypical ET appearance were not human remains but rather alien species that were once visitors to the planet.
According to media reports, he said: “These specimens are not part of our terrestrial evolution.” He made bold claims, adding: “Whether they are aliens or not, we don’t know, but they were intelligent and they lived with us. They should rewrite history.”
However, the majority did not accept Maussan’s explanation.
What is happening now?
For the World Committee for Mummy Studies, the claims were false. They described the discovery as “an organized and irresponsible disinformation campaign.” While Mexico’s main astrobiologist, Antígona Segura, told the New York Times, “These conclusions are simply not supported by evidence. This is all very embarrassing.”
Many other members of the scientific community rejected the “evidence.” Aside from experts, even the public on Twitter had doubts about extraterrestrial bodies. Memes and parodies filled the timeline as people on the Internet began to weigh in on the matter.

A video that is sweeping the Internet is a parody of the extraterrestrial unboxing that took place in the Mexican Senate session. The “it’s a cake” trend seized the opportunity when a baker named @the_bakeking on Instagram posted a video of himself cutting the “alien corpses.”

The video was played on the news and joked about “an alien revealed as a cake.” In fact, the cake was a strange replica of the bodies produced in Mexico. Many noted that it was more convincing than the real bodies that were wrapped in display cases at the hearing in Mexico.
