3 James Town Arrested
They were selling drugs to youths in James Town located in Accra. The police released information on the suspects identified as Awal Iddrisu, Alhassan Yakubu and Alhassan Dala. All these 3 criminals appeared before an Accra Circuit Court, facing a charge of prohibited business related to narcotics. The report indicates that the court, in charge of Mrs. Susana Eduful, preserved the place of the suspected persons because the narcotic suspected to be cannabis sativa has been sent to be examined in the Forensic Laboratory.
The court further added that, however, it admitted that the accused persons pay a bond of GH¢80,000 with 3 guarantors. These guarantors must be the relatives of these suspects. According to the Court, the guarantors must be within their administration. Now the case has been postponed until April 5, 2023. The prosecution, led by Inspector Ebenezer Teye Okuffo, narrated that on January 6, 2023, the James Town Police Command arrested the 3 defendants based on the details that one of the defendants (Alhassan Yakubu) managed in a ghetto and allegedly sold narcotics to young people in the area.
