70-foot yacht carrying guns, drugs and prostitutes discovered in Nantucket harbor: report

A yacht docked in Nantucket Harbor was searched Tuesday by authorities and they found guns, drugs and prostitutes aboard the luxury vessel, according to a report.

The investigation into the Jess Conn, a 70-foot motor yacht registered in the Cayman Islands, has so far led to at least one arrest, the Nantucket Current reported.

The shocking discovery in the port of the luxurious Massachusetts island was made after a woman was removed from the yacht for a “welfare check” on Tuesday morning, harbor captain Sheila Lucey told the publication.

She was taken to a ground ambulance, although it was unclear why she needed medical assistance.

Nantucket police, along with the Coast Guard, immediately launched an investigation into the ship.

Sources told Current that authorities found prostitutes, drugs, weapons and other contraband while searching the Jess Conn.

Before arriving at Nantucket on August 23, the yacht had been anchored off Newport, Rhode Island, according to the report.

In May, the Jess Conn ran aground off Florida, although it did not suffer much damage.
