An 86-year-old Florida man was hit multiple times by a truck driven by his son Saturday night and died at the hospital, according to authorities.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to R Bar, in Treasure Island, Florida, and found a black 2019 Dodge Ram backed into a parking space in the parking lot.
Investigators say 86-year-old Thomas McKeown walked toward the truck and appeared to fall in front of the truck.
According to investigators, the truck began moving and struck McKeown, dragging him, reversed and drove forward several times, striking the 86-year-old man each time before fleeing the scene.
Upon further investigation, deputies said Thomas McKeown’s son, Mark McKeown, 61, was driving the truck.
Authorities say Mark McKeown was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
Thomas McKeown was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries, according to deputies.

According to investigators, Thomas appeared to fall in front of the truck outside the R Bar. Google Maps
Authorities say the driver may have been intoxicated when the crash occurred and the investigation is ongoing.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, which was not immediately available for comment on the case.
