A man crashed his car into a barricade near the entrance to the Israeli embassy in Tokyo on Thursday, injuring a police officer.
Police arrested the 53-year-old man at the scene, local media reported.
An Israeli embassy official said the matter was under police investigation and declined to comment further.

The incident occurred in an area near the embassy that has been the scene of a handful of pro-Palestinian demonstrations against Israel’s bombing of the Gaza Strip in recent weeks.
Police had stepped up security in the area, including erecting temporary barricades, since the war between Israel and Hamas began on Oct. 7, residents said.
A month ago, an employee of the Israeli embassy in Beijing was attacked on the street and hospitalized.
