Aakanksha started her career in 2012 as a lead actress named Megha Vyas in the television show Na Bole Tum Na Me kuch Kaha. She later also watched the sequel of the series. She made her film debut in Badrinath ki Dulhania as Kiran in 2017. Aakanksha has also been a part of the entertainment reality show Box Cricket League for the Ahemdabad Exprees team.
In 2015, Aakanksha was seen as a guest in a dance reality show Nach Baliye season 7 aired on Star Plus channel. She later worked in the television miniseries Gulmohar Grand along with Aashim Gulati and Gaurav Chopra.
