Host of the AFC Asian Cup 2023
Qatar was chosen to host the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. Also, Qatar football team was the champion of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. The host country was supposed to be China, but Qutar will host the AFC Asian Cup this year. Many matches of this tournament will be played in the following stadiums:

On May 11, the draw for the AFC Asian Cup was held in Doha. The qualified teams were classified into different groups in this draw organized by the authorities at the Katara Opera House. As a result, six groups were formed in this draw and 24 teams were classified in these six groups for the upcoming 2024 tournament.
