After TikTok, Trump Indicates Banning Alibaba in the US

After banning the TikTok app, this time the US will attack a few more Chinese companies, including Alibaba. President Donald Trump hinted at this on Saturday.

“The problem is still on our minds,” Trump said.

Earlier this month, the US decided to ban Chinese apps on “national security” grounds. “We are determined to protect the interests of the American citizens,” Trump said at a news conference on Saturday. “So a few more steps can be taken.”

The decision to ban ticks will be effective from September. Announcing the decision on August 8, Trump said that the Chinese social media app TikTok would be completely banned in the United States within the next month and a half. So no one from the United States will be able to keep in touch with TikTok and its parent company ByteDance.

TikTok will not be able to transact business with any US company.

In his instructions, Donald Trump said: “TikTok users can find everything, including location data, browsing and search history. TikTok already knows all that information from American users. The highly personal and patrimonial information of the users has come into the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. Which is very concerning.”
