Amazing moment: Daring dad gets his daughter’s name tattooed 667 times

People frequently get tattoos of the names of their loved ones. Tattoos are like stickers for adults, but with one problem: they stay forever!

They are like mini canvases for your life’s adventures, telling your unique story point by point. Unlike stickers, you don’t have to worry about accidentally washing them off when you wash dishes!

Getting a tattoo is a bit like making a pact with yourself. It’s a commitment to appreciate that piece of art, phrase, or symbol, even if you change your mind about your favorite food every week. (But seriously, who could stop loving pizza, right?)

And let’s not forget the pain, which is like a rite of passage. It’s a reminder that you survived something that hurt you and came out fresher than ever. That’s right, you’re a tattoo warrior!

Now, a British boy has gone one step further by getting 667 tattoos of his daughter’s name. This is what we know.

Mark Owen Evans inked his daughter Lucy’s name 267 times on his back in 2017. At that time he was awarded the Guinness World Record for “most tattoos with the same name on body.”

Evans attempted to break this record to “celebrate Lucy’s birth, as well as to raise funds for the hospital that cared for her in the following months,” according to the Guinness Book of Records.

Diedra Vigil, a 27-year-old American woman, broke the record in 2020 by getting 300 tattoos with her own name. Evans then made the decision to “reclaim” her previous record and added 400 more “Lucy” tattoos, for a total of 667.

This time, they placed 200 tattoos on each of his thighs. The 400 tattoos were created by two tattoo artists in just over five and a half hours. Evans said in a statement to The Sun: “It felt strange, because two tattoo artists were doing it at the same time, the pain was like cancelled. I love that I literally use my disc and carry it everywhere,” he continued.

Rick Scolamiero of Canada and Ryan Logsdon of the United States broke another intriguing tattoo-related world record. Scolamiero and Logsdon each have 34 tattoos on their bodies that are connected to Marvel. They share the record for having the most tattoos of Marvel comic book characters.
