An Ohio man was arrested after a Jewish woman shared Ring footage of someone ringing her doorbell only to say, “You Zionist pigs are fucking disgusting.”
Jacob Thomas Reidy was arrested at his home in Bexley on Monday night after his vehicle was linked to anti-Semitic incidents at at least two homes on Sunday, and was already being monitored for similar anti-Semitic hate, according to a police report obtained by Fox 28.
Footage viewed nearly 3 million times Tuesday after being shared by StopAntisemitism showed a bearded man wearing a beanie, dark jacket and jeans leaning down to speak into the Ring camera in one of the incidents.
“So I’ve never used one of these,” the man says, and the woman responds warmly, “Yes, yes, go ahead, how can I help you, sir?”
Then the caller walks even closer and says, “You Zionist pigs are fucking disgusting,” and stops to continue staring at the door camera while chewing on a toothpick.
Owner Debbie Meyer said she’s sure she was attacked because she had an Israeli flag outside.

“I was shocked,” Meyer told NBC 4. “I wasn’t expecting that at all and hung up right away.
“He was probably here for 15 or 30 seconds, but he walked slowly down the driveway.”
Another owner displaying an Israeli flag reported a similar incident, according to Fox 28.
Authorities were able to identify Reidy because they had already been monitoring him for several days, according to the police report.

A detective working special duty at a synagogue said he had previously seen Reidy passing by, shouting out his car window about Israel following Hamas’ surprise attack on the Jewish nation on October 7, according to the Fox 28 report.
Reidy was on public property and not engaging in any illegal activity, but police wrote down his license plate number anyway.
Reidy was charged with criminal trespass and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Meyer said he will not give in to fear and will continue to fly the Israeli flag in front of his house.
“I will continue like this as long as Israel is safe and this war is over, probably longer,” he told the local NBC affiliate.
“I am israel chai” he added in Hebrew, which roughly translates to “The people of Israel will continue to live.”
