Not even the eclipse was spared from the ingenuity of social media users who took advantage of this astronomical phenomenon to create funny memes.
This Saturday, October 14, millions of people were able to appreciate how the Moon came between the Sun and the Earth and the excitement of seeing this unique phenomenon in the decade was noticed even on social networks, where users shared ingenious memes.
In Honduras the eclipse could be seen in different cities, with different intensities. In some parts it was partially seen while in others, such as the northern area, they were able to see it completely and appreciate the so-called “ring of fire.”
Some users were impatient to see the phenomenon and took advantage of that to make funny memes referring to the waiting time.
There was no shortage of romantics, there were those who published a meme inviting them to see the eclipse with the person they are attracted to.
“Do you want to see the eclipse with me? Send”, is one of the most prominent on networks.
Those who know how important the phenomenon is to astronomy made posts like: “Why so fancy, Homer? We’re just a few hours away from the eclipse starting, boy.”
Others joked about the warning ophthalmologists gave about viewing the eclipse directly.
