Anusha Prathap was born in Karnataka, India, into a middle-class Hindu family. She never intended to be an actress and she was training to be an IPS officer. Anusha began her career in the Telugu television series RadhaRamana in 2017. In 2018, she played an important role of Mansi in Ninne Pelladatha alongside her future husband Prathap Singh Shah. She later appeared in the television series starring Yashmi Gowda, Kalki Raja and Ashwini, Naga Bhairavi, as Goddess Parvati. In 2022, Anusha made her Tamil television debut with Sun TV’s show Anandha Ragam.
