According to authorities, Baltimore police officers responded to the scene of the shooting around 12:35 am after several calls about a shooting in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue. Officers found a dead woman and multiple other gunshot wounds upon arrival. The girl who was pronounced dead at the scene was identified as Aaliyah Gonzales. She was 18 years old. While another 20-year-old identified as Kylis Fagbemi was pronounced dead at a hospital. She succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities also confirmed that another 28 people between the ages of 13 and 32 were seriously injured in the shooting. Fifteen victims are under 15 years of age. Baltimore police admitted all the victims of the mass shooting at an area hospital. Baltimore Police Interim Commissioner Richard Worley said during a news conference Sunday afternoon that dozens were injured after a mass shooting at a Baltimore block party and at least two “suspects opened fire.” He further said: “All we know at this point is that several (shooters) opened fire on a large crowd of people who were outside during the block party. We don’t know if they were attacked or if (the shooters) were just shooting indiscriminately down the street.”

After the tragic incident, Aaliyah Gonzales’s mother posted a series of her photos on social media, “My Baby! Worst day of my life! I can’t live without her, I NEED HER!! would you do this to a perfect angel? I love you so much baby. I didn’t get there fast enough. God this is a mistake!!!
