Beating All Odds, Man Bedridden For 12 Years Now Drives Wheelchair To Deliver Food

A Facebook food blogging page named ‘Amritsar Walking Tours recently posted a video featuring him. Despite grappling with financial challenges, he uses a motorized wheelchair to fulfill food orders for Zomato.

Singh said, “I went to Sri Hemkund Sahib in 2009. On June 14, 2009, I had a car accident that left me bedridden for 12 years.”

Following this, a charitable organization provided him with a motorized wheelchair. He expressed his motivation to assist his family and conveyed his intention to join Zomato for work.

“I received a lot of help from strangers, and I am deeply grateful to them,” he said.

In the video, he showcases his method of fulfilling orders. 

Singh, who began working with Zomato just 15 days ago, shared his challenges in navigating the routes due to unfamiliar streets. 

Despite this, he accomplishes 5 to 7 deliveries daily, earning around Rs 200–250. He expressed contentment in being able to sustain himself through his earnings.

With a wife and two children to care for, Singh underlined his responsibilities.

The food blogging page also provided his contact number and address for those interested in offering help.
