This time around, the locals of Bengaluru were left fuming after they came across a man who was hailing a sign on Church Street that read, “Legalise Dog Meat. Sign My Petition.” As anyone would expect, dog lovers and pet enthusiasts jumped at the man demanding an explanation for his disturbing demand.

People on the internet echoed those on the streets and wondered about the young man’s motives behind waving such a want on a random street in Bengaluru. Twitter user Rugved shared a click of the man with the sign and voiced his disgust at the thought of consuming a dog.

Vegetarians Thought The Meat-Eaters Were Showing Fake Concern

While a majority could not believe their eyes, it seemed like vegetarians felt nothing when they saw the sign. One user claimed that they did not eat meat and the poster did not affect them much, but they were certainly confused why people who did consume other animals were so ruffled by the post.

i don’t eat any meat but how does it bother people more than other animals? someone explain pls.

One man on X believed that non-vegetarians should not have any problems with the sign and even called their hate “fake.”

Anyone who’s a non-vegetarian should honestly have no problem with this, all the fake hate in comments is hilarious

To answer all doubts and console the lost souls in the comments of the post, a user came forward to explain why the man was waving around the bizarre sign. They explained that the man was using the petition as clickbait of sorts to get people talking about veganism.

The man with the placard told the user, “If you can eat chicken, why can’t you eat dog?” After 30 minutes of baseless arguing with the imposter petitioner, the user grabbed the elephant in the room by the neck and asked, “Why hold this sign if you’re vegan?” To this, the man simply answered, “Would you have stopped if it said ‘be vegan’?”
