Guys, this is really the first time. They sent me an Amazon gift card as part of my rejection. byu/malevitch_square enrecruitinghell

“This is really a first, guys. As part of my rejection, I received an Amazon gift card,” reads the text uploaded alongside the photos. The first image shows a gift card labeled “A movie night at home.”

The second image shows the user’s rejection email from a company called Secret Sushi. The company praised the Reddit user for applying for the job in the email.

The organization opted for another candidate but was completely impressed.

According to the letter, the organization decided to go with another applicant for the specific position despite being “impressed” with the applicant’s “background and experiences.” The letter also concludes on a high note.

“In the meantime, I wish you all the best in your job search and any future endeavors. Thank you once again for considering a career with us at Secret Sushi. “We truly appreciate the time and effort you invested in getting to know us and we hope our paths cross again in the future,” read the final lines of the email.

“It makes me think they really had a hard time choosing a candidate. There are a lot of decent people, not that many decent jobs. Good luck in your search!” added another.

“When you go to the theater, it will turn out that all the theatergoers were also turned away, then the CEO will come out and give you all a job as part of a viral marketing campaign! Then you will wake up to the sound of the dolby digital soundbyte,” he wrote another user.
