Biden and President Mike Johnson wipe away tears during ‘Amazing Grace’

Add “Amazing Grace” to the dwindling list of things both political parties can agree on.

President Biden and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) were moved to tears Thursday morning as celebrated tenor Andrea Bocelli performed the anthem during the annual National Prayer Breakfast at the Capitol .

After the Italian’s performance, Biden, 81, walked straight over to shake the singer’s hand, while Johnson, 52, told Bocelli during his remarks that he “had the front row crying.”

Biden and Johnson, who recently clashed over immigration policy and military assistance to Ukraine, sat next to each other in the front row and shook hands as the event concluded.
