Sarah Hamrick was born on May 13, 1998 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Her parents are Karen Scruggs Hamrick and Michael Hamrick, vice president and trustee officer of Arthur State Bank. She attended Gettys D. Broome High School in Spartanburg and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with a concentration in communications in 2019.
At the age of 17, Sarah was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen in 2015. She was in school when she entered the pageant. She won a $10,000 savings bond along with the honor of competing in America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida, the same year. During her time at the university, she also participated in many campus activities.
