Last week, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo completed her Aug. 27-30 trip to Beijing and Shanghai, meeting with a number of Chinese officials.

Raimondo touted a more agile communication process with China as the main achievement of his visit.
But he also warned that he was “realistic” about China and that it was too early to be confident.
In addition to Raimondo’s visit, Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled to China in June and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in July.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said during a press conference on Monday: “The G20 is an important forum for international economic cooperation.
