Alok Maurya and his wife Jyoti Maurya, from Uttar Pradesh, have been making headlines for quite some time. Alok, a fourth grade clerk, had borrowed money so that his wife could study for the Provincial Civil Service exam.

She is now a state district magistrate in the Bareilly district. The man later claimed that his wife was having an affair with Manish Dubey, a local guard commander in Ghaziabad.

This news has had a profound impact on this man from Bihar. So much so that Pintu Singh, who is responsible for petrol pumps in the Chaugai village in Buxar (Bihar), believes that he could be the victim of a similar incident.

He has now decided not to support his wife Khushboo Kumari’s preparation for the Bihar Public Service Commission exams, according to News 18. Khushboo has filed a complaint at the Murar police station against Pintu.

Khushboo told local News18 that Pintu wants her to stop studying because he believes she will suffer the same fate as Alok Maurya. Khushboo stated that she wishes to continue her education.

The wife is still studying for her exam.

According to her, she previously took the BPSC exam but didn’t qualify for the main one because she was seven to eight points behind. She is still studying for the competitive exam using YouTube and other sources.

Pintu Singh, according to Khushboo, was originally cooperating with his studies but now begs him to drop the concept of working in the government sector. He said that SHO Ravikant Prasad promised his full assistance in this regard.

Singh said he is concerned about what happened to Maurya, which led him to stop helping with his wife’s exam preparation. He says he has supported her wife’s studies since they married in 2010, but has no intention of doing so any longer.

Asked if he did not trust his wife, Singh replied that it is difficult to anticipate “a person’s fate and a woman’s character”. He further said that her wife has asked him to continue supporting her in the same way as before.

He added that the SHO encouraged him not to judge everyone from the same perspective and to help his wife with her education.
