In a real-life version of the 1999 blockbuster Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, a man from Bihar’s Nawada district helped his wife meet and marry her boyfriend.
The woman chose to accompany her lover, which was the only divergence from the film’s narrative. A viral video on social media shows the couple getting married in a Shiv temple in front of their spouse. In it, the woman’s boyfriend applies vermillion (sindoor) on her forehead and she can be seen crying uncontrollably all the time.

The discovery and what followed after
The affair was discovered when the woman went to meet her boyfriend late at night at her home while her husband was at work.
Unfortunately, unlike in the past, the couple was apprehended by their relatives, who assaulted the man and took the two hostages. The villagers were so angry that they asked the couple to leave.

When the woman’s husband returned and found out what had happened, he took the couple to the temple and married his wife to her lover. Her boy is also married and has three children. When contacted, the officials replied that they were aware of what had happened but that no complaint had been filed so far.
In another incident, a Bihar man refused to pay for his wife’s education, fearing she would cheat on him. Pintu Singh, a petrol pump manager from Chaugai village in Buxar, Bihar, according to News 18, decided not to support his wife Khushboo Kumari’s preparation for the Bihar Public Service Commission exams. Khushboo then filed a complaint against Pintu at the Murar police station.
