Former US Marine Eddie Ray Routh has never been married. However, he dated Jennifer Weed, a psychologist, for several years. Routh’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer said their relationship had been on and off throughout. They also experienced many ups and downs throughout their relationship. Eddie was using marijuana at his house the night before Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield were killed. He later called Jennifer, his girlfriend, because he had heard and seen strange things. Before the incident, Routh and Jennifer were set to get married. She also cried until his ex-girlfriend agreed when she asked her to marry him on her knees.
In the spring of 2012, the former couple first connected on a dating website. At first, Jennifer also thought that Routh was cheerful and sociable, but that changed. After dating for a few months, Jennifer noticed a significant change in her demeanor. He threatened to cut her with a ninja sword and labeled her a demon trying to disturb her calm. Jennifer, however, remained immobile until Routh’s attack, during which she assassinated Chad Littlefield and American sniper Chris Kyle. She also identified herself as Routh’s defendant in the court proceedings. On February 24, 2015, it was sadly determined that Eddie had brutally murdered Kyle and Littlefield.
Jason Cashon, the trial judge, later sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Mr. Routh currently spends his entire life in prison at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Ramsey Unit in Brazoria County, Texas. Eddie Ray Routh, an American sniper, was born on September 30, 1987, to parents Raymond Ray Routh Sr. and Jodi Routh. In Lancaster, Texas, he grew up with his sister Larua Bess Routh. Eddie is of Caucasian ethnicity and is white. Also, based on his current nationality, he is Native American. Jodi Routh, Routh’s mother, claimed that she met Chris Kyle while working as a school assistant in Texas. She added that her son Eddie suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism.
