Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot is making its debut in Google Chrome and Safari, as recently noted by Windows Latest and reported by 9to5Google. Now, users of these browsers can enjoy chatting with these AIs on Bing.com.
However, there are some limitations when using Bing Chat in Chrome and Safari. Users are restricted to 2,000 word prompts, in contrast to the 4,000 word limit in Edge. Additionally, the chatbot’s conversation will update after only five turns, as opposed to the more generous 30-turn limit on Edge. And yes, there will be those irritating popups that will push you to download Edge.
But there are good news. Microsoft has expanded the availability of Bing Chat across different browsers and has also introduced a dark mode for the tool. This can be activated by clicking the hamburger menu in the top right corner of Bing Chat, then selecting Appearance > Dark or System Default. However, this feature does not appear to be fully implemented yet. While some users can access it, others, like me, still can’t.
Previously, the Bing chatbot was only accessible on Edge, which wasn’t very helpful for those who prefer other browsers. Now, however, users have more options.
