‘Bird bandit’ brings 3 parrots to steal at knifepoint inside Virginia McDonald’s: Cops

This thief is a real madman.

A man with a knife took his three easily identifiable parrots to a Virginia McDonald’s, where he forcibly stole some cash from a victim Tuesday, according to police.

The so-called “bandit bird” entered the fast food chain with two feathered friends perched on the brim of his cowboy hat and another on his shoulder, according to Fairfax County police.

The unidentified suspect approached his victim and stole “an undisclosed amount of money” at knifepoint.

The assailant is described as a tattooed Hispanic male between the ages of 28 and 32, though his three brightly colored parrots are probably his best description. Fairfax County Police Department

He and the birds were also seen on surveillance footage inside a nearby store at the time of the robbery before taking off in a blue Ford pickup.

The man, but not the birds, is wanted for armed robbery.
