Both men are in the rap industry, as Jenkins shot music and videos for songs with the hip-hop collection based in Toronto’s northwest community of Driftwood.
In addition to this, arrest warrants have been issued for 2 others at the memorial: 24-year-old Burke Whittaker and 18-year-old Javontae Johnson of Pickering for allegedly discharging firearms. Not only this, but Johnson is also wanted in York Region on charges of escape from a police officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, crimes reportedly committed the day after the memorial. However, detectives are still working to identify the remaining suspects. So far, police officers have not released details about who they believe initially opened fire on the gathering from the side of the road.
