Canada has issued a travel advisory to LGBTQ visitors about potential bias when visiting the United States. The Canadian government is encouraged to promote awareness and provide guidance to LGBTQ people considering vacationing to the United States.
The international travel recommendation warns that the LGBTQ+ community may suffer discrimination in some areas of the United States.
Recently, as many as 18 US states have passed laws restricting, and in some cases outright banning, gender-based child health care and teaching about sexual orientation in schools, among other community-relevant issues.
