Carlos Rising is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known for participating in the NBC reality television singing show, The Voice, season 23. The show is hosted by Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan. He is originally from Wilmington, North Carolina.
Birth and early life
Born in North Carolina, Carlos’s parents exposed him to a variety of music from the ’70s and ’80s, such as Shania Twain, Sting, and Michael Jackson, broadening his musical influences.

When he was 13 he wrote his first song and, at 16, he had already started acting. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Lee University.
Career
Carlos performs over 100 shows a year throughout the United States. He has recorded in studios throughout Nashville, toured with many famous artists, and his compositions have appeared in the Billboard top 100.
Carlos’ music is available on all streaming platforms and his sound is inspired by John Mayer, Johnny Lang, Sting and James Taylor.
His compositions span a variety of genres, including Country Acoustic/Folk, Acoustic Pop, Pop Rock, R&B, Country Rock, and Children’s Music.
In 2019, Carlos was the lead singer of the Christian group Re.Created and they released a five-song self-titled EP that included the single “You Will Sustain.”
Carlos ventured out as a solo artist in 2020 and released another EP called “Burned Out”, which was followed by three singles, the most recent being “Good Ole Days”. This track was delivered in summer 2021.
Additionally, Carlos opened for an indie rock and soul band called Holy Heat who released two singles: “Got Over It” and “Mud” in 2022.
Carlos performed Eric Clapton’s “Change the World” during The Voice blind auditions. Kelly and Blake gave him two chair turns, but he then decided to join Team Blake.
