Chandrayaan-3 is set to commence its landing manoeuvre on the moon’s south pole at 5:47 pm on August 23. All of India is expected to sit in front of their screens with bated breath as the lunar mission creates history for the country. 

After two misses with Chandrayaan-1 in 2008 and Chandrayaan-2 in 2019, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has a lot riding on this third attempt. Not just ISRO, but Indians too seem invested in the outcome of the mission.

In their own ways, generations of desis have started sending good vibes to the lander from Earth. While the older generations indulge in prayers full of piety, the youngsters have taken to expressing their pride through memes and online prayer circles.

When talking about Gen Z, it is impossible not to include memes. As expected, users on X expressed the nation’s eagerness for the lunar landing through hilarious memes.

Some even made fan edits for the space lander. Much like how a pop star stan comes up with video edits glorifying the artist, Chandrayaan-3 fans shared edits with famous TikTok audio celebrating the Indian lunar mission.
