He is the cousin of Jugal Hansraj, a model actor.

Career
Chetan started his career through advertising campaigns like Tata Safari, Thumbs Up, Cinthol, Lakme and Wagon R. As a teenager, he did almost 200 commercials. Chetan started his career as a child actor with a mythological series Mahabharat, he played the role of young Balram.
He made his television debut in a negative role in the daily drama series KKusum as Garv. Additionally, he did thriller shows like Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat and Kab Kaise Kon on Sony TV. He starred in the famous Indian soap opera Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. He later worked in the romantic drama series Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai on Sony TV and played the cameo role of Rakesh Beggar in the Indian comedy Instant Khichdi.
In 2006, he became a household name for his appearance as Raja Bhimdev in the popular film Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan.
