Videos of seven baby cows happily eating on the balcony of a residential building in southwest China’s Sichuan province have become super popular.
Many people, around 4 million, watched these videos on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
A resident who lives in the area said the cows were only there for one day. But their lowing and bad smell bothered the neighbors, so they alerted the authorities about it. On July 14, the animals were removed by urban management officials.
Community leader Zhang Dayou told reporters from Fengmian News that the calves weighed between 10 and 20 kilograms each.

After the cows were taken away, property managers and security guards have had a hard time dealing with the cow owner. The owner has been trying to bring the cows back to the residential flat in secret, and it has become something of a contest of determination between them.
