Sparks flew Wednesday night when former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie lashed out at Vivek Ramaswamy after the biotech entrepreneur disparaged Nikki Haley’s intelligence.
“This is the fourth debate. In the fourth debate, you will be voted in the first 20 minutes as the most obnoxious braggart in America,” Christie said, sparking a near shouting match as Ramaswamy repeatedly interrupted Christie.
“We’re now 25 minutes into this debate and he has insulted Nikki Haley’s basic intelligence, not her positions, but her basic intelligence,” Christie continued. “She is an intelligent and accomplished woman. You should stop insulting her.”
Ramaswamy had compared Haley to President Biden, saying, “Neither of us could even tell you three provinces in eastern Ukraine that they want to send our troops to fight.”
“Reject this myth that they have been selling you that someone had a cup of coffee at the UN and then makes $8 million after having real experience in foreign policy,” Ramaswamy added before drawing attention to the “blank expression ” by Haley.

Ramaswamy also upset Haley by suggesting that she “can’t distinguish between Israel and the United States” on the map.
Christie told the audience that Ramaswamy’s peace plan for Ukraine amounted to “giving [Russia] all the land they have already stolen.”
“You come out on the stump and say something… we confront you on the debate stage,” he added. “You say you didn’t say it and then you back off.”

“Nikki and I disagree on some issues, but I’ll tell you this,” Christie concluded. “I’ve known him for 12 years, which is longer than he started voting in the Republican primaries. We disagree on some issues, we disagree on who should be president of the United States. Well, we don’t disagree on this: she is an intelligent and accomplished woman. “You should stop insulting her.”
“First of all, Chris Christie also doesn’t know which provinces in eastern Ukraine he really wants to fight for,” Ramaswamy responded before suggesting that most of Christie’s “foreign policy experience was closing a bridge between New Jersey and New York.” . .”
“So do everyone a favor, just get off stage, have some good food, and get out of this race,” he concluded before turning his attention back to Haley.

“None of them could even name you the provinces they really want to protect. And these are the people who have been touting their so-called foreign policy expertise,” Ramaswamy said. “It is an intellectual fraud. These people lie. “They are the same people who told you about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to justify that invasion… The same people told you the same thing in Afghanistan, where the Taliban is still in power 20 years later.”
“A Dick Cheney can wear lipstick, but he is still a fascist neoconservative.”
