Sol Nazzar and Nicolás Salinas are the founders of Cultura Guacamaya and the METTAPANA project, which promote the presentation of ‘The moment of Nature’, which promises to captivate and show art, sensory sensations and culture . from a unique and spectacular perspective.

Tunota spoke with Sol Nazzar and Nicolás Salinas to learn more about this innovative project and what its journey has been like since its founding in 2017.

Far from the past and future: living in the present

They explained that this presentation brings some benefits to people, in their overall health, precisely because it seeks to connect the present with the presentation, leaving aside the past and the future, being a therapy to relax, breathe and dedicate that time, likewise, without worry, stress, anxiety, depression and other common conditions today.

“We propose, being an immersive space, that it is also a meditative space in the sense that we are present in the there and now, that our mind is not taking us to the past, in things we have already done, or to the future in things .what we have to do,” the couple said.

“One of the things they always tell us, after a presentation, is that, during it, time is not perceived and travels through the presentation and it is precisely that, that it is possible to be here and now, whole or enters into an experience”, they agreed.

Nicolás Salinas, of Argentine origin, comes from a family of designers in the industrial area. He is photographer. He studied at the music conservatory and did theater for more than 10 years. He also dedicated himself artistically to tango music in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“The mix of all these disciplines and seeing the shows they did in other countries, while we toured, gave us more desire to create that space (METTAPANA),” said Salinas.

For her part, Sol Nazzar, a Honduran who, by growing up in a rural area, close to nature, was able to connect more with it and get involved in the worldview of life, yoga, in that sense I have another contact with the body: a consciousness, an intention, to which I try to be connected whenever I can. “I am an art lover, I have a background in dance, I am in love with Afro dance and the fusion of Arab dances with contemporary dances; theater, drawing, photography. We firmly believe that everything is connected and to the extent that I am conscious,” said Sol Nazzar.

METTAPANA is also a call to create, a multidisciplinary artistic performance, where several things are combined on stage, but in an equitable way that allows it to be an immersive space, which allows the artist and the viewer to have an active participation.

When referring to ‘immersive’, Nicolás detailed what it means to feel, experience sound sensations and also the work he does with interactive visuals and different tools to live a totally different experience.

“METTAPANA is a huge canvas, where we can capture each of our artistic journeys, as well as how we perceive the world, leaving an impression together with the active public,” conclude Nicolás and Sol.

Tours to several countries

Sol and Nicolás have been working together since 2017, they have grown a lot as people, they are a romantic couple, friends and partners, and they have also advanced in this multi-trade to be able to bring each of their shows to stage with the support of different people such as family and friends, but, in essence, it is just the two of them who make each event possible.

“For the Manuel Bonilla theater we have the super collaboration that is like the integration of Saro Rivera who is a great producer and is now being part of this beautiful production from now on and we will also have the collaboration of Rafael Rivera who will support us in the filming of the event,” they detailed.

Likewise, they explained that their artistic journey has taken them to Europe, also to South America and also to Mexico.

“Next year we are also going to tour Central America and we are looking to tour the cultural houses of Honduras,” they said.

They assured that these two performances at the Manuel Bonilla National Theater are very important for them, because they are allowing them to buy equipment and thus move this project forward, because until now, in Honduras, in the places where they have performed “they do not have much ”. equipment that is needed to be able to present,” they explained.
