Huard’s life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to serving people spiritually and guiding them on their spiritual paths. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1955, Jeffrey Huard has had a profound influence on the community throughout his life. He graduated from Saint Paul Seminary and was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul in 1994.

Huard served as chaplain of the Community of Christ the Redeemer in West St. Paul (1996–1999), director of campus ministry at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul (1999–2007), parochial vicar of All Parish the Saints. in Lakeville (1994–1997) and pastor of St. Mark Parish in St. Paul (2007–2009), among other positions over the years. Huard was also a proud member of the Companions of Christ priestly fraternity, having held the position of moderator for a time. He oversaw the seminary’s spiritual formation program from 2009 to 2021 and continued to mentor students after leaving the position.

The funeral liturgy is scheduled for this Saturday, November 25 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow immediately.
