The Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi has released the admission dates for the primary courses of Nursery, KG and Class 1 during the academic year 2024-2025 in private schools in Delhi. The admission process to private schools for kindergarten, first grade and daycare will open on November 23. The schedule establishes that the admission application deadline is December 15 and that the admission process will begin on November 23. On January 12, 2024, the first admission list will be published. Parents may only have to pay a registration fee of Rs 25 after the circular.
Students from disadvantaged groups (DG), children with disabilities and economically weaker sections (EWS) are allotted 25% of the seats in private schools. Candidates in these categories will be admitted to a separate list which will be made public. The announcement states that starting March 31, the minimum age requirements for enrollment in preschool (nursery), pre-primary (KG) and Class-1 are three, four and five years, respectively. The notice identifies preschool, pre-primary and Class 1 as entry-level courses and stipulates that the earliest age at which a student can be admitted is four years for preschool, five years for pre-primary and six years for Class 1.
As per the notification, schools can receive queries from parents from January 13 to 22 after the first admission list is released.
